about

‘...bi-tartean...’ can have two meanings depending on whether it is written together or separately:

‘...bi tartean...’ (between two) refers to the way in which the work was composed, in close collaboration with Estíbaliz Oraá, who is in fact the joint composer of the piece. Together we explore the timbral and instrumental resources of the cello and its electronic transformation in real time. After freely playing with them, musical ideas emerge and are arranged to form a very open and improvised version of the work.

‘...bitartean...’ (meanwhile) refers to the time lapse between the two versions of the work: the improvised one and the set one. The cello part is written in traditional score, and the electronic part is recorded in an audio file.

“...bi-tartean...”ek bi esanahi izan ditzake, elkartuta edo bereizita idazten denaren arabera:

“...bi tartean...” (biren artean) obra nola egin zen azaltzen du, Estíbaliz Oraárekin lankidetza estuan egina baita; egitez, hori da benetan obraren egilekidea. Elkarrekin aztertzen dira biolontxeloaren tinbrezko eta instrumentuzko baliabideak, eta denbora errealean elektronikoan nola bihurtzen den. Horiekin era askean jolasten aritu ondoren, ideia musikalak sortzen dira eta ordenatu egiten dira, obraren bertsio oso zabal eta inprobisatu bat eratzeko.

“...bitartean...” (bien bitartean) obraren bi bertsioen artean, inprobisatuaren eta finkatuaren artean, igarotzen den denbora-tarteari egiten dio aipu. Biolontxeloaren zatia partitura tradizionalean idatzita dago, eta zati elektronikoa audio-fitxategia batean grabaturik dago.
